⁣The Ordinary offers Granactive Retinoid of 2% concentration in a creamy emulsion format, as well as a 2 and 5% concentrations in a hydrating, light Squalane base. This technology cannot be compared directly with Retinol itself in terms of concentration because they include a different Retinoid molecule, in a similar way that Retinol cannot be compared with Retinoic Acid in terms of concentration. The “younger” sibling, Granactive Retinoid, is a much newer next-generation advanced retinoid active complex which has been shown to target multiple signs of aging, offering the same long-term benefits as retinol, without any of the drawbacks often associated with retinol use.

I use this every night before sleep after cleansing my face. And yes, this is one of the products i use. After suffering from severe acne for 7 years i finally found a few products that put my acne to bed. I only felt the effects when I was using it around 2-3 times a week, so I think it's really important give your skin time to adjust and time for the retinoid to do its thing! My skin did take a while to adjust when I first started using it (not flaky dryness, but it would itch a little) and every subsequent time I increased the frequency. Started off with using it once a week for a month before ramping it up to twice a week and now almost every alternate day. Was a big game changer for me and I got a lot of compliments on my skin around 2-3 months into using this. Very nice! I have sensitive oily dehydrated and acne prone skin, and this has helped reduce congestion and with my overall skin texture. I was afraid it might cause breakout, but it has been great so far So far, been using it for a month and have not had any dryness or bad reaction. This product made my skin feel really good and tight in the morning! I used just a pea sized (2 drops) amount on my entire face at night over a thin layer of my cerave moisturiser and under a thicker layer of it (like a sandwich).
